CRHC went to Hampstead after a good performance at Surbiton against the best team in the country. Clifton knew that only a in or draw with the extra point gave them a chance of qualifying for the Play Off Finals. A strange day! Umpires stuck on M4 and then thee water canons would not work and the pitch could not be watered. Loughborough complained and the match was moved to a sand based pitch of lesser quality. Loughborough had all to play for and Clifton had already qualified for Top 8. Another trip to Wimbledon and another close match. For three quarters and a bit the teams could not be separated and it looked like 0-0 would be how it would start: how it would end. We are BACK at Clifton College with what is due to be a fast-paced attacking game of hockey against a young Exeter University Side. After a 3- win at Beeston earlier in the season, Clifton hosted a team that they had many close battles with in recent years.
