After a long journey to Stowe School, the second match of the season started slowly for Clifton Robinsons, with Buckingham converting a penalty corner in the 1st quarter to bring them one goal ahead.
Shortly after that, however, Clifton reacted with a smooth ball into the D from the right hand side delivered by Abi Porter and a sublime backhanded deflection into the roof of the net from Carla Dunnett.
At half-time the game was still even. Both sides were fighting hard for a second goal and despite some near misses including a crossbar deflection for Clifton and some cards in the last quarter neither team had the edge and the game resulted in a 1-1 draw.
