Committee Posts
Our club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers which is always looking for new members to get involved, share the workload and bring fresh ideas to the table. We pride ourselves on growing and adapting our hockey offerings to the membership base, always looking to improve on what we do. The more people who participate in running the club, the better it can become for all, the sky is the limit! Please consider what you could contribute to club life over and above playing or watching hockey.
The following are some of the vacancies we have on the various committees. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss any role further. Equally, if you feel you can perform some but not all the role – then please get in touch. We are always happy to adapt to allow people to contribute.
Joint Club
Umpire Development Officer – This role does not require you to be an umpire or know much about hockey. It is designed to allow anybody to give it a go and help grow our pool of umpires.

Coaching Development Officer – This role does not require you to be a coach or know much about hockey. It is designed to allow anybody to give it a go and help grow our pool of coaches.

Ladies Section
Director of Coaching – Ladies – This role is aimed at qualified coaches and ideally filled from the internal club membership although external candidates would be considered.

Assistant Treasurer – To assist Kathryn (treasurer) with the administration of our accounts. Formal accounts knowledge not essential, just good attention to detail, use of spreadsheets and enthusiasm to learn and use our simple software.

Registrations Secretary (Adult Registration) – To manage the registering of new adult members to the ladies section, working in a team of registrations secretaries.

Mens Section
Director of Coaching – Mens – This role is aimed at qualified coaches and ideally filled from the internal club membership although external candidates would be considered.

Volunteering
The club is always in need for members to develop as Coaches and Umpires. We run an extensive programme of training sessions and matches which all require dedicated volunteers to oversee and officiate. Therefore, if you are unable to take a Committee post, then please consider where you can help in this aspect of the club. It can take as much or as little time as you can afford and be as serious or sociable as suits the individual.
