Another trip to Wimbledon and another close match. For three quarters and a bit the teams could not be separated and it looked like 0-0 would be how it would start: how it would end. Perhaps Clifton’s best chance of winning came in the third quarter when Wimbledon were down to 10 players following a Yellow Card for sliding into the goalkeeper. Clifton didn’t make the most of this opportunity. There were chances at both ends to take the lead, but Wimbledon broke the deadlock early in Q4 when they broke and Olivia Chilton converted from close range. Clifton still had a couple of really good chances to level the score, evenm in the last minute. However, the score remained 1-0, the first loss for Clifton post Christmas but in a very equal and competitive game. Clifton remain in 8th and will play Surbiton, Hampstead and UoN in the play off pool.
